According to several online travel sites, a round-trip ticket to New Orleans from KCI are running around $2,000 that s assuming that you are leaving Friday and returning on Tuesday. A cheaper option for people looking to fly to New Orleans is to fly to Houston for anywhere $350 to $600, then drive the five and a half hours to New Orleans.

A round-trip ticket on Greyhound to New Orleans is around $300, while on Amtrak a round-trip ticket costs about $400.

Driving the roughly 840 miles from Kansas City to New Orleans will take around 14 hours.

Many hotels rooms in New Orleans are already booked, and tickets to the games in the Louisiana Superdome are now running anywhere from $175 to thousands of dollars per ticket.
